A client who has the task of settling an estate is going through a grieving process and also facing the seemingly daunting job of meeting with an attorney to begin the process. Many clients have expressed gratitude for Dawne’s ability to explain complex issues sometimes associated with settling an estate on a level the client can understand.
The most rewarding part of my job is working with a client and establishing a trust by assisting a client and family members in a manner that allows them to feel comfortable with the legal process. It also allows the family to manage the more emotional part of losing a loved one.
Dawne’s experience in predeath planning and document drafting gives her a wide scope of understanding of what will be required on a person’s passing. She has prepared many federal and state estate tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns. This knowledge allows her to answer client questions and concerns on tax issues both in the estate planning phase as well as postdeath situations.
I have found that I have developed long-lasting friendships with many clients with whom I have worked for which I am grateful.
Dawne enjoys concerts and theater productions, movies, historical novels, spending time with family and especially attending events involving her grandchildren, and being in the outdoors whenever possible.
